1. Introduction
Welcome to Bold Coast Boats. The following terms govern your custom boat order and are designed to make the process clear and straightforward for everyone involved. We appreciate your trust in us and look forward to building something exceptional for you.
By placing an order with Bold Coast Boats, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Ordering Process
Getting started is simple. You can reach us through our website, through a Bold Coast Ambassador in your area, or through a local dealer. Whatever path brings you to us, Bold Coast Boats handles the construction and delivery experience from there — one point of contact, start to finish.
3. Quotes & Pricing
The quote provided will outline the cost of the recommended boat, including an itemized list of options and their prices.
The quoted price does not include shipping or delivery fees.
Quotes are valid for 7 days from the date issued. After this period, prices may change. Customers will need to request a new quote, and Bold Coast Boats is not obligated to notify customers of price changes before they occur.
Material costs can shift during the build process, particularly for custom components. If significant price changes occur outside our control, those changes will be included in the final invoice — we’ll communicate them along the way.
Each boat is custom-made, by hand. It takes a minimum of 1 month to build each boat.
The quote will include an expected delivery time, but each boat will be built in the order in which deposits are received.
Completion time depends on the current backlog and may also be affected by supply chain issues.
Completion dates may be delayed if other deposits are received between the time your quote is issued and your deposit is received. An updated completion date will be provided when your deposit is received.
If the completion of the boat is expected to take longer than initially estimated, Bold Coast Boats will notify you promptly with an explanation and an updated completion date.
In the unlikely event that a material shortage would cause a significant delay in your build, we'll reach out right away. If a refund is the right path forward, it will be processed according to the payment terms in Section 4.
4. Payment Terms
To secure your build, we require a 50% deposit to begin — this also locks in your quoted price. Highly customized builds may require additional progress payments. The final balance is collected before shipping, delivery, or pickup.
All change orders must be requested in writing. Once received, price adjustments (if needed) will be communicated and must be approved in writing for the changes to proceed. All claims of verbal requests are null and void.
If you need to cancel, you have 5 days from your deposit date for a full refund. If custom materials have been ordered, a refund may not be possible for those items, and restocking fees may also apply.
Beyond that point, deposits are non-refundable. Exceptions may be considered for extenuating circumstances caused by factors outside your control. We’ll handle those conversations individually.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Your quoted price covers the build only. Shipping and delivery are arranged separately, and those costs are the customer's responsibility. That said, we're happy to recommend trusted shipping options and assist as needed — just ask. You're also always welcome to pick up your boat directly from our shop in Annapolis, MD.
Shipping prices are subject to change without notice and are beyond our control. Bold Coast Boats may charge a handling fee to facilitate the shipping options chosen by the customer. Customers are encouraged to confirm shipping costs and arrangements directly with the chosen shipping provider.
Estimated production and delivery times will be provided but are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to supply chain disruptions, material shortages, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
6. Warranty & Liability
Bold Coast Boats stands behind every boat we build. Each vessel is warranted against construction defects for one year from the date of delivery.
If you believe you've found a defect, reach out to us in writing with a description and photos and we'll assess the claim promptly. Valid claims will be resolved through repair or replacement at our discretion.
What this warranty doesn't cover: normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or the kinds of forces that no boat builder can account for — rocks, extreme conditions, and the unpredictable nature of moving water. That's not a disclaimer so much as an honest acknowledgment of the environment these boats are built for.
7. Changes to Terms
Bold Coast Boats reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
