Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: February 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to Bold Coast Boats. By purchasing a custom-built boat from us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms ensure a clear understanding of our process and your responsibilities as a customer.
2. Ordering Process
Customers will initiate the process by providing details on how they intend to use their boat, including where it will be used and any customizations desired. Based on this information, Bold Coast Boats will recommend a suitable design and provide a detailed quote.
3. Quotes & Pricing
The quote provided will outline the cost of the recommended boat, including an itemized list of options and their prices.
The quoted price does not include shipping or delivery fees.
Quotes are valid for 1 month from the date issued. After this period, prices are subject to change. Customers will need to request a new quote, and Bold Coast Boats is not obligated to notify customers of price changes before they occur.
Each boat is custom made by hand. It takes a minimum of 1 month to build each boat.
The quote will include an expected delivery time, but each boat will be built in the order deposits are received.
Delivery time will be dependent on the backlog of orders and may be affected by supply chain issues.
Delivery may be delayed if other orders come in between the time the quote is issued and the deposit is received. The customer will be notified of the updated completion time.
If the completion of the boat is expected to take longer than initially estimated, Bold Coast Boats will notify the customer in a timely manner, providing a revised timeline and explanation for the delay.
In the event that Bold Coast Boats is unable to procure materials necessary to complete the boat, and as a result, the completion of the boat is expected to be significantly delayed, a refund may be available. The customer will be notified of the circumstances, and any refund will be processed in accordance with the payment terms outlined in Section 4.
4. Payment Terms
A deposit of 50% of the quoted price is required when placing an order. Receipt of the deposit will lock in the quoted price.
The remaining balance must be paid before the boat is delivered or picked up.
Orders may be canceled within 5 days of placing the deposit for a full refund. After 5 days, the deposit is non-refundable, except in cases of extenuating circumstances or significant production delays caused by factors beyond the customer's control, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Any requested changes to the order must be submitted in writing via email and may result in adjustments to the final price.
5. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping and delivery arrangements will be made separately, and associated costs are the customer’s responsibility. The completed boat will be located for pickup in Annapolis, Maryland. Bold Coast Boats can recommend shipping options and assist in arranging shipping, but the cost of shipping will be passed on to the customer.
Shipping prices are subject to change without notice and are beyond our control. Bold Coast Boats may charge a handling fee to facilitate the shipping options chosen by the customer. Customers are encouraged to confirm shipping costs and arrangements directly with the chosen shipping provider.
Estimated production and delivery times will be provided but are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to supply chain disruptions, material shortages, weather conditions, or other factors beyond our control.
6. Warranty & Liability
Bold Coast Boats warrants that our boats are free from construction defects for a period of one year from the date of delivery. If a defect is discovered within this period, customers must submit a warranty claim in writing via email, including photographs and a description of the issue. Bold Coast Boats will assess the claim and, if deemed valid, will repair or replace the defective components at our discretion. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or exposure to extreme environmental conditions.
However, due to the unpredictable and powerful nature of water, we are not responsible for failures caused by exposure to extreme conditions, impacts with rocks, or natural forces beyond our control.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must ensure all order details, including customizations, are accurately communicated and confirmed.
Proper maintenance and care of the boat are the customer's responsibility.
8. Changes to Terms
Bold Coast Boats reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes that may impact their orders.
