The BCB Hybrid Approach:
Ambassadors and Dealers – Join the Family
Our Ambassadors and Dealers are selected through a competitive, merit-based application process. By now, you know the drill: We Build Boats Beyond Reproach. Naturally, that standard holds true for the customer experience, and that experience might start with you.
Here's the Deal:
Culture:
A partner, not a transaction
You exemplify our spirit - You understand that representing Bold Coast Boats reflects upon yourself and your customers. You can speak about your experience with integrity and credibility.
You’re infected with the boat bug – you live and breathe water, and you crave to share that experience with others.
You’re embedded in your community – you’re involved with one or more clubs, groups, informal networks, instructing, coaches or guiding.
Experience:
You’ve been there - We’ll ask how often you’re on the water, where, and in what kinds of conditions you're comfortable in.
You know the competition - you don't need to be a composite technician, but you do understand and notice various construction methods. You know what works, what doesn’t, and the right equipment for the conditions.
You’ve got street cred - ACA, BC, Paddle Canada, WFR, USCG. We want to know what you've pursued, what you've earned, and what you're working toward.
Commerce:
You’re hungry – You know the boat like the back of your hand and what makes them special. You’ve got a history of success, you’re ambitious, and you’re ready to earn.
You’re the right amount of chatty – Each build starts with a one-on-one conversation, and that conversation will likely start with you. Stay involved with the process as much as you like. We’ll handle the details.
Terms:
Ambassador and Dealership Agreements are good for 1 year. Annual evaluations will determine renewal eligibility.
Ambassadors earn a flat 10% commission; Dealers will earn 15%. When your advocacy leads to a verified sale — a referral, a demo, an introduction — you earn your commission on the final (tax-excluded) sale price, and it’s paid within 5 days of the vessel’s delivery. No caps. No complicated earning structures. Just money.
A W-9 will be required up front, and a 1099 will be issued at the end of the year.
Your effort is minimal. Bold Coast Boats handles all aspects of the ordering, construction, and delivery process.
The Application Process:
Apply - Submit your completed application, including your résumé, personal statement, and detailed paddling profile.
Review - We'll acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and notify you of the result within 30 days. Our team reviews every application carefully.
Agreement - Selected candidates receive and execute the Ambassador Agreement, choose their boat option, and confirm their vessel.
Shove Off – Take delivery of your boat, and do what you already do — make way, share, and represent the craft.
Get Your Boat!
Selected representatives choose the arrangement that works best for them. Both options come with the same responsibilities — and the same opportunities
Option A - Own Your Boat
Purchase your demonstration boat at the actual cost of production — no retail markup, no margin. You own the boat, and you keep it after your term ends. It's yours.
Option B – Borrow Your Boat
We loan you a boat for the duration of your term at no monetary cost. Paddle it, show it, share it. The boat remains our property, and you return it when you’re done.
**Since each boat is customized, we’re unable to guarantee boat specs like colors and layup options with this method.
Either Option – We’ve got Standards:
Your boat is a rolling demonstration and the best sales tool we have. Its maintenance and cleanliness are meticulous. She’s always in showroom-ready condition.
It’s available for prospective buyers to try for no-hassle demonstrations 24/7 with reasonable notice.
The boat is properly insured for all applicable variants of Murphy’s Law: injuries, repairs, replacements, etc.
